Exactly one year ago, I married my best friend. We stood underneath a beautiful archway while a string quartet played in the background. We never heard the music, we were too busy staring at each other. We recited vows in front of our friends and family that we will always love and cherish each other, though sickness and in health, til death due us part. We danced like there was no tomorrow and we took a thousand pictures (literally) to remember the day (thank you Jessica!).
A few days later we started on our first adventure as man and wife - a 10 day cruise to Alaska and Canada for our honeymoon. Little did we know that it was the beginning to a very busy year! We've all heard that time flies when you're having fun, and this year could not have followed that saying any better. Through the several months of heartache while trying to find a house, through struggling with illness and landlords, through realizing how our lives didn't seem to change much after our wedding other than we both had rings on our very special fingers... through all of this Matt and I got even closer than I thought we could have. We got a house that we absolutely love, we are both happy and healthy, and I'm on the brink of starting up a photography business. All in our first year, not bad huh? Hands down, best year of my life.
This whole weekend Matt and I celebrated our one year anniversary, but today is actually our anniversary and I consider myself the luckiest girl in the whole world. I am married to my best friend and I can't wait for all the anniversaries awaiting us!
