Pictures finally...

So the men's volleyball team needed some extra shots for their media guide and I was called in to take them! Let me tell you, these are some really nice guys that I took pictures of today and I hope we can do more in the future. This is my first shot with a flash indoors so don't laugh so hard, these were a few of my favorites.

Here's Kevin bumpin' it up....
Definitely can't get this shot during a regular game...

This is Dylan. Wish I could have gotten the ball in the picture but I think I still did him justice...

Fun with cropping :-)

This is Kody, he was a lot of fun to be around. Thanks for being a good sport!!

Knock it down Chris!! Dang this guy is tall...

The big hair...

...cut! Yup, I needed a hair cut pretty bad. Although I wanted to go short, I didn't anticipate this much of a cut! I absolutely love it though, we'll see how easy it is to maintain for me.

Chinese food

If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.

Exposure Practice

Ok don't laugh too hard at these, I was playing with the manual mode on my camera and messing with exposure. I need to work more with people, but it was really sunny outside and decided to take pictures of my neighborhood and the campus.

My favorite of the day... and yes, I took this laying down on the sidewalk. And yes, I got some really funny looks.

Kicking myself

Today I woke up to a fabulously sunny Fall morning. Around 50 degrees, I figured I would freeze on my way to my car and then to the office, but I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to step outside with just a sweatshirt (unlike the heavy snow jacket I had on yesterday). As I was driving down Monterey Avenue, I was mezmerized with the way the light was hitting the trees. As I drove further, I admired the vibrant colors the leaves were turning over the tree-lined street.

And then it hit me: it was going to be pitch black before I would get home tonight, which leaves no hopes for capturing this beautiful Autumn day. I am literally kicking myself for not coming up with some reason to stay home so I could travel the city with my camera. This would be a great day to practice because of all the good lighting, and it's all going to waste as I sit here in this dark and dusty office for 8 hours.

Golden Gate Bridge

I took this two years ago from a boat that took me around the bay, I have a 20in. x 30in. hanging in my living room I love it so much :-)

And continuing my psychosis of wanting to use photoshop to bring out color, I decided to do this:
More to come...

Goofy cooper

I can't get over Cooper's smirk in this picture.

My favorite shot so far...

I was about 20 feet from this bull... a few weeks later it chased Matt's mom across the yard. Livin' on the edge!!
